iPhone 5S, modelul iPhone cu specificaţii îmbunătăţite, pregătit de Apple pentru a concura împotriva noilor modele smartphone cu Android, ne dezvăluie câteva detalii esenţiale legate de configuraţia hardware şi tipul de chipset folosit.



Cum arată la interior prototipul noului iPhone 5S

Comparat cu predecesorul său, iPhone 5S vine cu un acumulator de capacitate mărită, ce ar putea răspunde nevoilor unui chipset mai însetat de energie, oferind eventual şi un mic spor la capitolul autonomie. Cât despre chipsetul instalat, prezenţa numărului de model APL0698 sugerează că avem de-a face cu un exemplar autentic din noua serie Apple A7 şi nu o variantă modificată a chipsetului A5, cum este cel regăsit la inima telefonului iPhone 5. Spre comparaţie, chip-ul A6X folosit de tabletele iPad 4th gen poartă nume de model APL5598, în timp ce mai vechiul A5 este identificat după inscripţia APL0598, demonstrând modul în care Apple diferenţiază membrii unei generaţii de chipseturi variind prima cifră din cod, respectiv a doua cifră când se face trecerea la o nouă generaţie.



Chipsetul Apple A7

Un alt detaliu interesant despre chipsetul Apple A7 este indicat de prezenţa literei K, ce atestă producerea noului chip în fabricile TSMC. Tranziţia de la facilităţile de producţie Samsung la cele oferite de TSMC este zvonită deja de ceva vreme, însă schimbarea era aşteptată abea pentru cip-urile din seria A8.

În imagine mai poate fi identificat un nou blitz dual-LED ce va asista pozele obţinute pe timp de noapte, dar şi un chip de 1GB memorie RAM, care potrivit codurilor inscripţionate ar fi produs de Elpida în luna septembrie 2012. Potrivit altor inscripţii, exemplarul iPhone 5S este de asemenea un prototip timpuriu, ieşit de pe linia de asamblare în luna decembrie 2012.
